Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) R70/R71

Overview

The CCSA provides delegates with the knowledge required to perform the day to day management of Check Point software blades. Each student will be provided with their own Check Point enviroment to implement, manage and troubleshoot. In addition students will be introduced to a variety of security concepts to enhance their understanding of Check Point's role in the organisation.

Course Materials

All delegates are provided with highly recommended courseware. This includes a reference manual, official technical drafts, white-papers, step by step guides and case studies. All students are furnished with materials like examination pads, pens, high lighters and other necessary stationary. Many other study aids are provided throughout the course ensuring each student a unique learning experience..

Prerequisites

Candidates are to have an in-depth understanding of internetworking, server systems and support of either Windows NT/ 2000/ 2003, Sun, Unix, Linux or Nokia. Good solid understanding of IP addressing, routing and internetwork needs is essential. .

  • Demonstrate the process for creating users and groups, including authentication methods
  • Configuring User Authority and authentication mechanisms
  • Implementation, configuration and management of NAT
  • Configuring static and hide NAT
  • Encryption and security
  • VPN quick configuration and management
  • Configuring the Firewall Blade to protect internal networks from common network attacks
  • Implement directory integration
  • Backup and restore of critical files
  • Database revision control
  • Implementing and enforcing Quaility Of Service
  • Detect and block intrusions using Smart Tracker
  • Troubleshooting and management of the check point Software Blade installations
