"In 2000 when I first looked for a local facility to provide IT training there was only basic courses available and no approved examination centre. Now I am delighted to find Plymouth has its own training provider with the most advanced and up to date courses available to suit all levels of expertise. SOLVE IT are please to be able to recommend the training provided by BLUESCREENIT. Their facilities and services are all one could ask for from a quality local centre. Their staff are both experienced and knowledgeable. The small group size and hands on style ensure all clients get the most from the course. " I found the dedication and diversity of the course which I under took at BluescreenIT at Plymouth gave me an excellent and solid foundation of practical and knowledge based skills required for the IT posts which I have applied for and got through the third interview, practical and theory tests."
Andy Skews, Royal Air Force
" I have attended multiple training courses with Blue Screen IT Training in pursuit of my Professional certification with Microsoft. The main reason that I chose Blue Screen for my training needs was the flexibility of the training provided.
I found that Blue Screen would allow me to train when it suited my personal and work commitments and when attending the training it was flexible enough for me to be able to concentrate on the content that mattered most to me and quickly cover the areas that I was confident with. I have found the Instructors to be knowledgeable and confident in the subjects that they where instructing and if the student has any issues that the instructor is not sure about they will endeavor to find the answer.
The training facilities are perfectly adequate, comfortable and easily accessible for the able bodied, and with an onsite examination centre, make achieving that certification simple. Onsite accommodation is located within a short walk of the training site and should suit anyone that may be traveling to attend courses. Blue Screen IT to me means flexible, affordable and tailored training to suit your personal requirements that will allow you to fulfil your professional certification goals. "
Austin Gambles, Analyst (Ex Army)
"I am a Data and Voice specialist who wanted to expand my knowledge base to include CISCO products. After scouring the Internet for suitable training establishment in the South West I chose a CCNA course with Blue Screen IT. This was a 7 day course, a very quick 7 days.
I have been on a number of different courses and the speed at which they go normally equates to how much you enjoy the experience, as I said before this was a very quick 7 days. At the end of every course you should feel as if you have achieved the courses goals, and I can say with all honesty that thanks to the attitude of the staff at Blue Screen I did.
This was a relaxed training environment where you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. The staff are professional and very approachable, a small yet well balanced team that have the students needs as their priority
The instructional techniques used, maintained the fine balance between theory and practical. Access to a wide range of training aids made the practical elements of the course enjoyable. The ability to physically see handle and configure equipment re-enforced the theoretical points covered throughout each days training.
Students questions were always answered with understanding, no question asked was ever deemed to be trivial. Answers were addressed and tailored to the individual's needs, the ability to approach the question from a number of different angles ensured that everyone understood the point to be made, a sign of a good instructor with a wealth of knowledge.
I will definitely use Blue Screen IT for any further training. "
Colin Neal, EADS
"I am enjoying the course immensely and learning a lot of useful skills that I'm now using at work. The tutor was friendly, knowledgeable and answers questions in a very clear way. The city centre location is excellent with good local transport links. I am looking forward to passing my exams to get full MCSE status."
Alistair Poustie, IT Consultant
"I found the Blue Screen IT course to be extremely well delivered with the pace and depth customised around the pupils needs. The lecturer was very knowledgeable and was very keen to go much deeper into the subject than necessary for the CCNA course in order to aid the pupils' understanding of a subject."
Douglas Clark, LAN-WORX
"I left the Royal Marines, in Dec 2004, as a Warrant Officer Class 1, having served 27 Years. The last 7 years were spent working on the BOWMAN project, providing Human Factors Engineering liaison to General Dynamics the prime contractor in Canada.
I needed to convert my military experience/knowledge into a civilian qualification and therefore chose the Microsoft approach to get accredited. When choosing the venue for the 4 week pre release training I considered 3 factors: 1. Type of training given. 2. Value of training, within my given allocation of resettlement grant. 3. Location. Blue Screen IT provided me with the hands on training I preferred, with a strong emphasis on "break it, fix it, and then find a way to ensure it does not happen again. The cost of the course I chose to take (MCSE Exchange) fell within my budget allocation; that being the grant from the Corps and the little extra I was willing to add.
The location of the facility was ideal, based in the Crescent Plymouth. There is an abundance of local B & B's, which are in easy reach of the facility, allowing students to walk to the facility each morning. I would recommend Blue Screen IT to anyone wishing to take the resettlement route, or even use the EnhancedLearning Credit, to further there professional qualifications. Since completing the course I have utilised the knowledge attained to improve and in some ways enhance the capabilities offered to my clients.
Having worked in Systems Engineering, prior to the course, I can now visualise the complete design cycle and offer ways to improve future tasks, with the knowledge that I now possess."
Colin Price (Ex Marines), EDITS UK
"Everyone at Blue Screen IT is friendly and helpful. I have found them to be outstanding in every way; they have honesty, integrity and a willingness to go the extra distance to make certain their students take from the experience everything they need and more. They teach real world IT and are fluid in their approach adapting the lessons to suit the individuals
learning needs."
Fay Swan, C3webdesign
"I have just completed a CCNA course and found Blue Screen IT a great place to learn new skills.
The instructor was confident, knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance and skill in passing over the knowledge and information that was needed. Having been it the IT industry for many years, I found the course well structured and the delivery of the course easy to follow.
There was lots of hands on use of routers and switches. I can highly recommend Blue Screen IT to anyone who want to advance the knowledge and career."
John Grocock, Communications Contractor
"I decided to do my MCSE after having worked as first and second line system administrator for 5 years. I picked Blue Screen IT for two reasons, firstly because they trained MOD personal and I know that they look after their people; secondly because having spoken to several schools, Mike Dieroff spoke to me at length about my options and never felt at any time that Blue Screen was just out to make money from their students and genuinely cared that the students who enrolled got value for money.
The classes are small and tailor-made to the level of the students. The instructors friendly and keen to see their students understand and pass the exams that they have enrolled for, making sure that subjects are understood by all before moving on. The course work books are the recommended books. The description found on the website totally corresponds to what you will find and learn. The school is right in the centre of Plymouth giving easy access to shops, restaurants and a good choice of accommodation. A much nicer atmosphere than that of being in London.
I enrolled on the MCSE passport and is an excellent idea, rarely seen, in that you can work at your own pace, returning for further or repeated courses over the course of a year. Although I have completed half the course, I have put the remaining weeks on hold while I work for a few months - a job I landed partly because I had already worked indirectly for the company and partly because I was completing a MCSE. I am now working for Hewlett Packard on a 6 month contract.
I would highly recommend Blue Screen IT to anyone looking to take a MCSE or indeed any of the other courses offered by the school and I look forward to returning there to finish my course."
Kate Romeo, IT Contractor
"My training with BluescreenIT was a relaxed and enjoyable experience that has enabled me to confidently exchange a long military career for a rewarding civilian one as a web designer. I especially enjoyed the sweeties!"
Mick Eden, Web Designer (Ex Army)
" Being new to the IT industry i was looking for someone to explain the basics before moving on to more technical aspects. Blue Screen made my experience extremely enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble for them. All the information was clearly communicated with plenty of interaction between students and teachers. Overall an amazing experience and would highly recommend this company to anyone from a beginner like me to experienced IT Professionals."
Mike Whitehurst, Web Designer
" My two weeks spent at BluescreenIT on the CCNA and CCDA courses proved instrumental in my securing employment as a Network Site Design Engineer after leaving the Royal Navy last year. The enthusiasm Mike has for the subject matter is infectious. Couple this with the family atmosphere and their 'nothing is too much trouble for the student' attitude and the end result is an environment which can only be conducive to quality learning."
Nigel Jones, Royal Navy
" I have just completed the three day CCSA course. I came on the course with no real prior experience in Checkpoint, after the course my skills and knowledge gained are now being applied to my firewall at work."
Matt Ford, Network Administrator
