Course Duration
10 Days - This covers the complete CCENT/INCD1 and ICND2 certification track and prepares students for either the two CCENT and ICND2 exams, or the single CCNA exam.
We also offer a 5 day ICND2 course for more experienced Network Administrators, (please see prerequisites below).
Certification - (Cisco Certified Network Associate, CCNA)
2 Options are available, either sit two seperate exams, namely the CCENT and ICND2, this will achieve CCNA status and give you an additional CCENT qualification. Or sit one exam, the CCNA itself for a single qualification;

Examination: 640-816 (ICND2)
Prerequisites
Candidates for the complete 10 day CCNA course do not need any specific prerequisites apart from basic knowledge of computers and networking. Candidates for the ICND2 only course however, should have a sound understanding of networks, services and internetwork needs, at least to either CompTIA Net+ or Cisco Intro level (CCENT/ICND1) level.

- Using switching and VLANs to extended network performance
- Overview of Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
- Initial IOS configuration and browsing the Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI)
- Implementing Cisco SDM (Secure Device Manager)
- Securing access to the CLI using passwords and encryption schemes
- Interface configuration management and troubleshooting
- Configuration of point to point links using serial HDLC connections
- IP routing, including static and dynamic routing with RIP, EIGRP and OSPF protocols
- Creation of routed internetwork including integration into multiple router and multi-platfrom systems
- Disaster recovery, password recovery, IOS images and image management
- Integration into network infrastructure including DNS, DHCP and other common services
- Creation, management and configuration of access-lists
- Access filtering to control traffic within an internetwork, IP NAT and IP scalability
