MCITP Virtualisation Administrator

Overview

The MCITP Server Administrator qualification validates that you have the skills to leverage the benefits of server virtualization, but also to gain some of the key skills necessary to build a private cloud for your organization. It also shows that you can use desktop virtualization solutions to help companies reduce their total cost of ownership, increase business agility and continuity, enable anywhere access, and improve security and compliance.

This certification encompasses the Server 2008 R2 operating system, specifically the Hyper-V service.

Achieving the MCITP Virtualisation Administrator

There is a single path to attaining your MCITP Virtualisation Administrator. First you must pass two MCTS modules, one focusing on server technologies, the other on desktop configurations.

70-699 TS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Desktop Virtualization
70-659 TS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Server Virtualization

After sitting these two courses the candidate is required to sit the corresponding PRO course.

70-693 PRO: Windows Server 2008 R2, Virtualization Administrator

After passing all three exams the student will have attained the MCITP Virtualisation Administrator qualification.
