Proud to be an official signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant

BIT (BluescreenIT) are very proud to be an official signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant. An initiative which aims to ensure that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

‘Our organisation is made up of many former service personnel, myself included, so we are acutely aware of the difficulties service personnel can face when they come to leave the forces. We also recognise the embedded skills and huge benefits that come from employing that ilk and all the good they bring! So the Covenant was a great way to get that across in our business activities… It really is a pleasure to sign it and become part of this great endeavour.’ Darren Hession, BIT Group Chief Information Security Officer.

For BIT, signing the Covenant enables us to continue to recruit and gain the far reaching benefits of the wide range of unique skills and experiences that service leavers, reservists and veterans bring to both our training and security operational units.

As a part of our wider training programme delivery for the MoD, we will continue to proactively train, recruit and encourage service leavers, veterans and reservists to pursue careers in IT and cyber security via our career development and reskilling programmes.
