It is great to see our CompTIA A+ training course back on ELCAS to support our MoD Leavers and Veterans looking to use their ELC grant to start their IT or Cyber Career with one of the worlds most popular IT foundation courses.
Whose it aimed for?
Service Leavers or Veterans looking for careers as:
Support Engineer, Desktop Engineer, Computer Administrator, PC Support Analyst or are looking to progress onto further certifications such as the CompTIA Network+ and Security+.
CompTIA A+ certification validates your understanding of the most common hardware and software technologies in business worldwide.
How long is the course?
The course runs over 10 Days, the first week covering hardware and the second week focused on software content.
The main topics learnt:
Virtualisation and Cloud Computing
Hardware and Network Troubleshooting
Over the 10 days, you will be able to:
Demonstrate baseline security skills
Configure devices and operating systems including Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS Android and iOS
Administer client-based as well as cloud-based (SaaS) software
Troubleshoot and problem solve core service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation, change management, and scripting
Support basic IT infrastructure and networking
Configure and support PC, mobile and IoT device hardware
Implement basic data backup and recovery methods and apply data storage and management best practices
